Petition - Denouncing get recalcitrance
Due to our deep feelings of responsibility to Israeli and Jewish society and to the plight of women and men who face get recalcitrance, we the undersigned, citizens and residents of Israel and the diaspora declare as follows: Get recalcitrance is an unacceptable phenomenon that must be denounced and uprooted. Refusal or evasion in granting or accepting a get, or stating conditions to do so, is a form of cruelty and violence.
Therefore, I undertake to do all I can to eradicate this phenomenon, including:
- Signing this petition and acting to implement and advance solutions that will eradicate the phenomenon of get recalcitrance including promoting bills of amendment and solutions within community life!
- Denouncing the phenomenon of get recalcitrance and men and women who are party to it!
- Not allowing men and women who refuse to grant and receive a get to be part of our community!
