ICAR’s Education committee's goal is to raise awareness about the plight of mesuravot get and agunot in order to advance the implementation of existing solutions within Jewish Law.
ICAR has a well stocked library, with books, articles and resource material that is open to the public.
ICAR has published a source booklet, both in English and Hebrew, including a proposed lesson plan, to enalbe all those interested in the subject to study it at their level in the hope that a learned discourse will lead to a solution. To download the content of the booklet click here.
In addition, ICAR assists its member organizations in organizing their own events to raise public awareness and to educate the public regarding the problem and the possible available solutions.
A gateway for communicating with students, teachers, and the general public, the ICAR and Snunit Website contains real-life stories of agunot and mesuravot get, examines legal and Halachic views and solutions, and provides a forum for sharing thoughts, personal experiences, and reactions. The site also details the many aspects of ICAR’s work in education, advocacy, and research of religious sources.
